Sunday 11th November - Beacon Lighting

The cafe will be open from 8:30am -14:30pm for the annual remembrance parade and service taking place at the War Memorial. We will also be open again in the evening from 17:30-19:30 for the Beacon Lighting taking place at 7pm!

Kitchen Vacancy

We are currently hiring for the cafe at the Bat and Ball station, opening in January 2019. If you have a keen interest in cooking and baking we would love to hear from you!

There is a current part time vacancy for somebody to be kitchen based:

Friday -5am -9am

Saturday -9:30am-2:30pm

Sunday- 9:30am-2:30pm

Cakes for sale!!

Do you need a cake, friends or family coming for lunch? or have you forgotten a cake sale at school!

Our cakes can be bought whole! these are homemade traditional cakes, not big fancy cakes for birthdays, just good homemade cakes that can easily be passed off as your own :)

The tray bakes serve approximately 12 generous slices, but you can cut them to any size you like and the 8” round or loaf cakes serves approx 8 -10. All we need is 24 hours notice although the longer the better and we will have them ready for you to collect.

Tray bakes available are: Lemon drizzle, Carrot, Chocolate, Mocha, Flap Jack or Brownies priced at £12. Bakewell tart is £15

8” round cakes: Victoria sponge with Jam and butter cream, Chocolate with rich chocolate fudge icing, Mocha - coffee sponge with rich chocolate fudge icing or Carrot with cream cheese frosting priced £10

Loaf cakes, Banana bread, Banana, Blueberry and Almond, Lemon and Poppy seed, Earl Grey tea loaf or Courgette priced £10

We can also make cupcakes for £1 each!

Live on The Vine 2018

Live on The Vine is back for 2018! 

Come join us on Friday 20th July at the Vine Bandstand for a highly enjoyable evening of young people from your local area performing from 6pm – 8:30pm. Other entertainment on the night includes street art and t-shirt making, a Wii games tent, ice cream, skill mills and a photobooth with unlimited free photos.

This event is FREE to attend and the Vine Café is staying open late till 9:00pm that night with its scrumptious menu!

Barbeques and Bands

NEW for this summer!

The cafe on the Vine will be hosting Barbecues during our band afternoons and evenings.

On a Thursday the barbecue will be available between 6 and 7:30pm (bands play from 6pm until 8pm) and on a Sunday we will be lighting it at 12 noon until 4:30pm (bands play from 3pm until 5pm)

Come along and enjoy our locally sourced burgers and sausages whilst listening to the music and don't forget we are fully licensed so you can enjoy a glass of wine, prosecco or beer as well!

Our homemade cakes, Taywells ice creams and a range of hot and cold drinks will also be available.
